Honoring Mickey Rooney

For years, the San Diego County Ford dealers and the Ford Motor Company Fund have partnered with the San Diego Air & Space Museum on Operation Goodwill, Ford’s charitable program that sponsors the museum’s Green Skills For Life, which encourages students to go green. The trio recently honored American legend Mickey Rooney at the Studs & Starlets Gala. “We are proud to pay tribute to one of our country’s most iconic actors and a loyal Ford enthusiast by presenting him a 2011 Ford Taurus in honor of his lifetime achievement,” noted Mark Wheeler, chairman of the Operation Goodwill committee. “Like Ford, Mickey Rooney is a symbol of American strength and perseverance.”
