The La Jolla Festival of the Arts

The 2011 La Jolla Festival of the Arts takes place June 18-19 at UC San Diego, overlooking the beautiful Pacific coastline. Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the festival promises the outstanding work of nearly 200 fine artists from the USA, Mexico, and Israel. View the festival’s collection of posters from the last quarter of a century, and take the opportunity to bid on the original compositions for this year’s poster by artists Linda Pirri and Karen McLean-McGaw. The Marine Room’s Bernard Guillas will recreate a meal inspired by artwork, and the event will have live musical performances from the USN Destroyers, Rockola, the Mar Dels, and Sprague & Benedetti, to name a few. Mingle with local artists, chefs, celebrities, and entertainers while viewing a wide array of paintings, sculptures, photographs, fine jewelry, and more.
