La Jolla Art & Wine Festival

Published

The La Jolla Art & Wine Festival ramps up for its sixth and largest season yet October 11-12 with new additions including a brew fest and larger festival grounds. Located in the heart of La Jolla spanning over half a mile from Prospect Street to Torrey Pines Road, this nationally renowned juried art show and fundraiser is free and open to the public, and will feature something for everyone including a silent auction, roving entertainment, gourmet marketplace, family art center, premier wineries from around the world, and many of San Diego’s nationally recognized breweries. Girard Avenue will transform into an art lovers’ paradise highlighting 150 established artists from the West Coast, Baja, and beyond. Sue Britt, San Diego resident and winner of 2013’s “Best In Show” title, will return, while additional LJAWF artists’ works celebrate a number of mediums such as painting, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, fine glass, woodwork, mixed media, and photography. Since launching in 2009, the La Jolla Art & Wine Festival has raised $340,000 in support of local area public schools. (www.ljawf.org)
