Iris Auxiliary to the San Diego Center for Children Luncheon & Fashion Show

The Iris Auxiliary to the San Diego Center for Children, currently celebrating 35 years of supporting the children in the care of the Center, will be hosting a luncheon and fashion show at 11:30am on Friday, January 30, at The University Club Atop Symphony Towers. Sandra Maas of KUSI-TV will be mistress of ceremonies, introducing the haute couture created by San Diego’s own Lizz Russell. The mission of the Auxiliary is to provide the “extras” that help the children have the same experiences that other children enjoy. (619.563.1249, www.centerforchildren.org/iris)

Founded in 1887, the San Diego Center for Children is the oldest children’s non-profit in San Diego. Today, in eight locations and hundreds of homes across the county, the Center provides therapeutic care, specialized education and critical life skills to over 1,000 children and their families. From prevention and assessment, outpatient counseling, specialized education, foster care, residential treatment and transitional services back into the community, the Center is a flagship organization for children and teens struggling with behavioral and emotional health challenges.
