Gen 7 Fall Release Party

Gen 7 Wines presented its third annual Fall Release Party in Rancho Santa Fe to celebrate the bounty of harvest with Gen 7’s newest releases paired with authentic German cuisine. Gen 7’s history dates back to the 1830s when a young Frenchman, Theophile Vaché, left his family and country to pursue a dream and a better life. He established one of the first vineyards and winery in the Vineyard District of San Benito. In 1883, Vaché and family moved to Redlands, found a perfect site next to a running brook, and Brookside Winery was born. Though it grew to incredible heights, Brookside eventually ceased operations. Nearly 30 years after Brookside was sold, on July 3, 2009, the rebirth of the legend began.

Today, Tim Bacino, a Ranch resident and the sixth generation of the Vaché family, is following his heart to restart a family tradition based on a rich history. Tim and his wife, Susanné, along with their daughter, Gabriella (the seventh generation), are embarking on re-establishing the preeminence of California’s “first family” of wine with Gen 7.
