Bark in Balboa Park

San Diego Civic organist Carol Williams is teaming up with the Humane Society of San Diego County to host Bark in Balboa Park on Sunday, February 15, from 2-3pm. This free, festive organ concert celebrates the extraordinary relationship between dogs and their guardians, while supporting the Humane Society’s mission to find loving forever homes for sheltered pets.

Beloved pets on leash are invited to enjoy an afternoon of classics, marches, and animal-themed organ tunes played by Williams on the majestic Spreckels Organ. Ambassadors will be on hand to introduce adorable and adoptable dogs and cats to concert guests, as well as to provide information and resources showcasing the Humane Society’s inspiring mission.

A grand Pets and People Parade across the stage of the Spreckels Organ Pavilion will round out this signature benefit concert in the heart of Balboa Park.

Inspired by her love for animals and passion for music, Williams conceived Bark in Balboa Park as a musical celebration dedicated to pooches and their music-loving families. She looks forward to taking the stage with her beloved Airedale rescue pup, Dietrich Buxtehude Bell, to once again set to music the important cause of shelter pet adoption.

Williams is playing a pivotal artistic role in the Balboa Park Centennial festivities. She anticipates the allure of Balboa Park’s 100th anniversary celebration will lend this year’s Bark in Balboa Park a special sparkle.

All donations collected at the concert will benefit the San Diego County Humane Society’s inspiring mission.
