Pedal the Cause

Pedal the Cause San Diego raises money for innovative life-saving cancer research at Moores Cancer Center at UC San Diego, Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute, Salk Institute, and Rady Children’s Hospital. The third annual Pedal the Cause takes place September 18-20 and will feature courses for all cycling abilities, as well as new partnerships with key organizations in the community. Participants can choose a one-day ride (10, 25, or 50 miles), a two-day ride (75 or 150 miles with an overnight stay in Temecula), a spinning option, or a Superhero Kids Challenge.  Pedal the Causes’ new Ride for a Child program, in partnership with Rady Children’s Hospital, is a special way to connect pediatric oncology patients with Pedal cycling teams. For participating children, the program offers an exciting distraction from their treatments and gives them a supportive team of individuals who will train, fundraise, and ride in their honor.
