Dreamers and gardeners can indulge their fantasies as they explore magical sites kept secret from the public. It’s all part of The Secret Garden Tour of La Jolla, an annual event that offers glimpses of gardens in a variety of styles. Not restricted by size or type of design, the gardens will include large La Jolla estate layouts, intimate cottage styles, romantic Mediterranean plans, formal French patterns, and English arrangements. Making the experiences all the more esthetically delicious is the fact that locations are not divulged until the day of the tour, when they are revealed in the distributed printed program — the adventure really is a secret. Local musicians will perform at the gardens, and there will also be tabletop displays by local designers and merchants, as well visual pieces by artists capturing beauty of the individual homes and gardens. Choose the Self-Guided Tour or the Platinum Tour, which begins with a private brunch and continues with shuttle transportation to the gardens.
