Setting the Table

Hacienda Chic Designer Ashley Astleford of Astleford Interiors sets a table to reflect her passion for bold, Mexican design. “My dining table is solid cherry wood, passed down from my grandmother. The side chairs are a twist on the ‘Ghost Chair,’ and I painted a cobalt band on the backs and seats,” says Astleford. She complements the look with glass and iron highballs of the same hue. The terra cotta plates are Jan Barboglio originals. The wine stemware is amber glass swirled from Mexico, which Astleford pairs with copper mugs and brushed gold flatware, along with wooden platters and silver chargers. The Mexican blanket runner lends another pop of color and texture. Details like resin white antlers, natural quartz, and white pumpkins enhance the loose flowing fall foliage in a salvaged wooden trough. 858.529.5401, astlefordinteriors.com

Antique Elegance Antique Elegance: “It spoke to us of a bright and merry California Christmas!” exclaims Connie McNally of The McNally Company Antiques in Rancho Santa Fe, who collaborated with wedding and event planner Dani Blasena of HauteFêtes on the design and styling of the tabletop and decor. The design is inspired by the fabulous yellow antique chairs and 19th century yellow and gold china by Copelands. To achieve this look, McNally and Blasena paired elegant Wedgwood red and gold 19th century plates with flatware by Gorham, Old Versailles, water goblets by Wallace, and sterling silver salt and peppers by Frank M. Whiting. The design is complemented by a vintage reindeer and varied antique crystal glasses. 858.756.1922, mcnallycompanyantiques.com

Thanksgiving Splendor “Being so grateful for all of the beautiful color that surrounds us this time of year, I wanted to combine all of those thoughts and colors to create a table that would bring peace and comfort to our family and friends,” says designer Sandy Garrett of Le Dimora in Pacific Highlands Ranch Shopping Center. To achieve this look, Garrett paired a dining table and chairs by Marge Carson with dishes by Skyros; placemats, napkins, and napkin rings by Bodrum; and glassware by Vietri. The Thanksgiving season is further brought to life with a large turkey and wheat bundles by K&K, pumpkins by Raz Imports, amber sea glass by SKLO, and a leather tray, spire bottles, and wishbone by Global Views. 858.261.0600, ledimora.com
