The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua honors its culture and looks ahead

Celebrating its milestone 25th anniversary this year, The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua, perched on Maui’s pristine North Shore, recently unveiled its multi-million dollar transformation. The resort now offers newly re-imagined guest rooms, suites, and residences, an enhanced lobby and pool experience, and the new Kai Café.

Embracing Maui’s natural beauty and rich cultural heritage, guest rooms, suites, and residences feature delicate sand tones, evoking feelings of serenity, while azure blue and deep green accents echo the vibrancy of the sparkling ocean and lush flora. Floor-to-ceiling windows welcome the island environment inside. 

Creating a memorable stay from the moment of arrival, the resort’s elevated lobby experience is inspired by the Hawaiian word, “mana,” meaning the power of the elemental forces in nature embodied in an object or person. The 10,000-square-foot, tri-level pool and 20,000-square-foot sun deck are now accompanied by newly imagined cabana suites complete with butler service, flat screen televisions, and a private refrigerator. Refreshed landscaping includes the addition of puakenikeni trees, hibiscus, and lauhala.

Located on the lobby level of the resort, the new island-modern Kai Café offers an array of house-made pastries, organic smoothies, fresh local coffee and deli selections, tropical fruits, sandwiches, wraps, and salads.
