Ladies In Red
There’s something empowering about a roomful of women all dressed in red, which was exactly the point of the Go Red for Women luncheon and heart expo at the Hotel Del. The annual American Heart Association confab urges women to take charge of their heart health by raising awareness and funds to fight heart disease, the number one killer of U.S. women. Myssie McCann was event chair, with Dianne York-Goldman serving as Circle of Red chairwoman.

Fashionable Fundraising
Mama’s Kitchen, The Westgate Hotel, and Leonard Simpson-Fashion Forward presented a men’s and women’s runway fashion show titled Be Haute! Be Here! If You’re Not, You’re Naught. Honorary chair was Sally B. Thornton, and emcee was KUSI’s Sandra Maas. Supporters enjoyed a social hour and silent auction, gourmet luncheon, and, of course, stunning fashions — all to support Mama’s Kitchen.
