Worth New York has created a limited-edition silk scarf, donating ten percent of sales to the nonprofit Blessings in a Backpack, which provides food for elementary school children who might otherwise go hungry. The scarf spells out “Blessings in a Backpack,” using food as typography. The fashion brand has a history of philanthropy, especially through its “Every Woman Has Worth” program, which facilitates gifts of time, funding, and clothing. In partnership with its stylists, Worth donates $1.2 million in clothing, holds hundreds of trunk shows benefiting charity, and impacts more than 360 organizations each year. “I feel extremely fortunate to work for a fashion company that cares so deeply about women and their communities,” says local stylist Judy Burer.
