A Viennese Fantasy
The La Jolla Debutante Committee’s 50th anniversary celebration, A Viennese Fantasy, was held at the Hotel Del Coronado and chaired by Phyllis Parrish and Jill Pancio. Thirty-one lovely young ladies — having excelled in academic, artistic, and athletic pursuits, and contributed many hours of community service — were presented to society by their proud fathers. After marching through arched swords, the debutantes began dancing with their fathers, then with the young men who were their escorts. — Vincent Andrunas
