La Jolla Playhouse Gala
La Jolla Playhouse presented Diamonds Are Forever, a gala benefit that honored director emeritus Des McAnuff and the Playhouse’s 60th year and featured a performance by Tony Award-nominated actress Melissa Errico. Amadeus 2008
A black-tie gala celebrating Mainly Mozart’s 20th anniversary and the 252nd birthday of Mozart took place at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla at Aventine. Supporters enjoyed hors d’oeuvres prepared by the chefs of JRDN, Roppongi, and others while bidding on fabulous auction items. The night concluded with a concert by Mainly Mozart performers Harumi Rhodes, Che-Yen Chen, and Barry Gold. Patté Awards For Theatre Excellence
The 11th Annual Patté Awards for Theater Excellence were held at The David & Dorothea Garfield Theatre on the Jacobs Family Campus of the Lawrence Family JCC. Guests enjoyed a Champagne and pâté reception, dinner, awards show/presentation, and dessert. Donna Marsh Grand Opening
A grand opening celebration was held at Donna Marsh, the new upscale designer women’s store in La Jolla. The entire block of Fay Avenue at Kline Street housed a catwalk that showcased the latest designs that can be found at the store. Fashionistas enjoyed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres by the Oceanaire, chef Deborah Scott, The Palm, Whisknladle, and The Cottage, as well as boutique shopping, with ten percent of proceeds going to Las Patronas.
