Tucked away between Leaping Lotus and Antique Warehouse in Solana Beach lies Cedros’ newest offering for relaxation and rejuvenation, The Glow Bungalow. In a white Nantucket-style house, the spa and its seaside chic décor will instantly put you at ease. Owner Amy Grensted has had previous experience performing luxury spa treatments for an extensive list of celebrity clientele at the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills, and medical grade skin treatments at La Jolla Spa MD. With The Glow Bungalow, Grensted wanted to create a mixture of the two. “I wanted to create a ‘my place is your place, have a good time’ atmosphere that wouldn’t be intimidating — a place that caters to all women,” says Grensted. Available treatments include facials, chemical peels, waxing from brows to Brazilians, massage, and custom air brush tanning with an organic solution for a healthy glow. The spa also offers evening treatments three nights a week, and an outdoor seating area with a gas lamp and fire pit. Guests can enjoy a selection of spa food fare, including wine and chocolates. Along with the three-room skin and body lounge, The Glow Bungalow houses a small retail boutique with gift items like jewelry, handbags, lotions, and luxury bath products.
