Walk for Recovery

The community is invited to join the San Diego Brain Injury Foundation in honoring the strength, effort, and courage it takes to overcome the challenges of brain injuries. The 2015 walk on Saturday, March 21, at Mission Bay Park’s De Anza Cove will be the 8th annual walk hosted by the San Diego Brain Injury Foundation. Registration starts at 8am, and attendees will have a chance to pick up your T-shirt and get a team photo before the walk, which is scheduled to begin at 9:15am. The registration fee for adults is $25; persons with a brain injury can register for $15.

Oliver Rhodes, a recreation therapist and past board member of SDBIF, will lead the group again in stretching exercises. Exhibitors from various groups involved with brain injury will provide information and local resources. Following the walk, Derlin Hsu, a neurologic music therapist, will lead people in drumming sessions and there will be a drawing for fabulous raffle prizes. (619.294.6541, www.sdbif.org/event/2015-surviveheadstrong-walk-for-recovery)
