Tori’s Wish

Make A Wish San Diego is granting a wish for Victoria, a bright, beautiful little girl who has Type 1 Spinal Muscular Atrophy, a terminal neuromuscular disorder. When she was diagnosed in March of 2013, her parents were told to take her home and shower her with love, as she would not live another 6 months. Over two years later, Victoria continues to defy all odds. It is her wish to go to the Aulani Disney Resort in Hawaii with her four-year-old big sister Ella, her best friend. The resort offers many water activities that Victoria will be participating in, from the coral reef to activity pools, and a man-made beach — all the while surrounded by her favorite Disney friends. Although Make-A-Wish has offered to fly her family to Hawaii on a commercial flight, it is not an option due to her minute-to-minute medical needs. To provide the extra space needed for Tori’s medical equipment, lower her exposure to the germs of fellow passengers, and add the security needed for her in the event of an emergency, the family is looking to charter a medical flight with jet partner Schubach Aviation, which has stepped up and offered to underwrite a portion of the travel costs. The community is invited to help raise travel funds to safely get Victoria to her wish — Elsa and Mickey’s house. (www.gofundme.com/toriswish)
