Reesey Shaw, the founding director of Lux Art Institute, has now launched Curatorial Project, an entity that will source work for specific sites and exhibitions, purchase work for permanent installation, and work with artists in project development. Curatorial Project’s inaugural event at Shaw’s home will feature New York-based artist Julie Heffernan, who will share images that explore her self portraits and “Hunter Gatherer” themes, examples of which will be installed throughout the home (and some of which will be available for purchase). The intimate evening with the artist will feature appetizers and cocktails on the ocean patio, and dinner with Heffernan in the garden.
